Warranties for used 2001 325i

Question type: General

Hello Bimmers,
I recently purchased a really clean 2001 325i from a non BMW dealership so my expectations of them doing any maintenance are very low. However, I know in the future there are going to be normal wear and tear items that I'll have to cover. I also purchased a 2 year warranty on the drive train from the dealership which is extremely limited but a warranty none the less. I wanted to ask if anyone has found value in purchasing a used car extended warranty from the BMW dealership. If so, how much was it and have you experienced any problem trying to use it?

Thanks,

since you bought the car from another dealer, you cant get any type of warranti from BMW,also dont expect much of the one you paied extra for.

Thanks for the input, I'm kick-ass mechanic anyway, bought a service manual and been doing most of the small used car repairs myself. That's the way I roll! 325idegrees
