Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a question about my cooling system on
my 2002 bmw 325i. I just replaced the
reservoir due to it cracking and when I started
my car up afterwards my heater was only
blowing out cold air and the car was over
heating. Is car ruined? What do I do? Don’t
laugh I’m a girl and I extremely stressed out
about this

It should be fine if you didn't overheat it for long. The thing that you probably didn't do was bleed the cooling system out. I'd go on youtube and search bleeding a cooling system for a better explanation than what I could by typing.
