check to see if you have a mechanical or an electric fan and ensure that it is, 1 turning the correct direction and 2 that it turns on when the car reaches operating temperature, if its not you may have an electrical gremlin or your temperature sensor isn't functioning properly
My fan is turning the proper direction and the sensor seems to b working properly as well as it still sends messages to the computer when the temperature rises. I don't know what the hell it could b!! I've bled it, changed parts, checked the fan and it still overheats!?
Some times the problem is the head gasket. If the problem is not big, you can solve the problem with a liquid that contain little pieces of metal that fill the gap that the head gasket have. I did this solution two times with good results, and one time with no results. The name of the product is bar's leaks,

Check your radiator thermostat it could be that I’m having the same problem
Am driving BMW 320i it’s overheating and it loose power , and my surprise it’s from service
I have a 2005 BMW 325i sedan l have replace revolver, radiator, radiator cap. Temperature sensor, thermostat, and it still overheats. When l remove radiator cap my reservoir is eather full or low but still don't know why it keeps heating up after 10 minutes.

I was told that it can be difficult to remove the air from the system. If there is an airlock it can cause overheating. Try putting car on angle and bleeding a number of times. I'm going to try it on mine tomorrow.
