Heater problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My heater is only working on passenger side.
The middle console and the driver side are given
cool air. Is it a door actuator problem ? If yes, is
the part located above the fuel pedal?

That actuator is really hard to get (passenger side) it requires the dash to come out. Not an easy task. The actuator that is in the driver side it's "easy" to remove and put back in if you have the know how and the correct tools and good back. The actuator in the driver side makes the air (cold or hot) come from the middle vents, the one in the passenger side makes hot or cold come in the passenger side, as far as I know. I have the 2 issues, and really the dealer is asking almost $2,000 to get it done, since they have to remove the dash to get to it, is near the blower motor, so I am waiting to do it.

You’re right the door actuator in the driver side was easy to reach and replace. As for the passenger side I had to remove the blower motor and its box also. It took me 3 hours but finally I arrived to replace it by myself without needing to pay the leader’s labor fees.
