BMW engine swap...

Hi. I just bought a 2005 325xi BMW with a
blown head gasket. I think it has a 2.5 liter 6
in it. I ran across a new motor out of a 2007
325i 3.o liter 6 cylinder. They look at a
glance to be identical. Did know if it would
fit in my 2005 ...

What about the block only. If I put all my accessories on the 2007 3.0... it's a new 4500.00 engine that I can get at good price. Need to know if it can be done... Thanks guys
