How do I reset the oil change mileage indicator on a 2005 325i. Also check engine light. Thanks

If you own a BMW and like to do stuff yourself I recommend to purchase a diagnosis/reset tool like the GT1 , PASOFT 1.3.6, DIS. or any other vehicle/model specific diagnosis/reset tool. The Peake R5/FCX-III-16 might be the one for you...

I'd take it to BMW. You probably need an oil change and if not, there's reason to have it serviced because of the check engine light. Not normal. Check Engine means somethings up with your emissions. Have you noticed black smoke coming out of the tail pipe?
