Question type: General

I see that the question was answered, but I want to make sure if the car came
with 16 inch rims originally, is it okay to switch them to the 17 in rims?

Yes. Just make sure they are the same hub size and bolt pattern. BMW uses hub-centric wheels, which means the center of the wheel is how they seat rather than using studs.
