Why does a -170 pop up on my dash when I turn on my vehicle?

Asked by Manvandamn Feb 19, 2020 at 07:14 PM about the 2006 BMW 3 Series 325i Sedan RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I turn on my 06 BMW 325i a negative number is
displayed where the mileage is supposed to be but after a
second the regular mileage pops up. I just did an oil
change. What could it be?

How long has it done this? Has the number changed? I believe that's a service reminder. If you just did an oil change, you can reset it.
