Computer System on 2006 BMW 325i

to save money since i no longer have 2 jobs (thats how is was able to purchase this car),i took my BMW to a NON-certified mechanic. Found mechanic via referral from colleague. Any, mechanic is having trouble with computer system on car. What should I do?

What you do depends on what kind of computer system demons that you are battling. What is the car doing wrong?
Get yourself a USB K+D CAN bus adapter for your computer and download INPA and EDIABAS, you can use this combination to read your own fault codes and get basic live data from the ECU. The software can easily be found and the adapter is cheap as chips :)

It'd be easier to answer if we knew what sort of computer trouble. I mean knowing these cars there's plenty.
