BMW timing chain

Asked by Cdesj Jan 20, 2020 at 10:34 PM about the 2006 BMW 3 Series 320d

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi We have a 2007 BMW and apparently it needs a new timing chain.
Is it dangerous to drive in the meantime and what is the rough cost to replace
it? Apparently it is very expensive. My husband is happy to drive it but I am
very concerned. Thank you!

the cost is around $1500. An independent BMW garage will charge less than a dealership.
