I recently purchased a 2007 328 xi coupe, love the car ! recently noticed when its hot out and I 1st. start the car, the stereo display seems all liquidfied ?

recently noticed when its real hot out and I start the car, the whole display on the stereo is all garbled, unreadable and looks like it been liquidfied ? once the car cools down, the display returns to normal.

does anyone have any thoughts?

You can also speak with the service manager at the dealership. Ask about a make good on just such a situation. Also, are you venting your sunroof? It helps. That and using Huperotik window tint. I even have my windshield done in it because living in Florida all my life have seen my share of melting interiors.

To answer you question bmw is having an issue with Rad2 radio system and there lcd displays under high heat looking distorted. This of course can of course can only be fixed by a dealer do to programming of the vehicle that is required when you replace the radio with a new one. What you could do as a cheaper route is find a used radio from your same exact car as you have , make sure If you have xm radio option that you make sure the new radio has that option as well. BMW on some control modules use whats called generic programming and coding meaning its not VIN specific and can be swapped from two similar vehicles and still function. Hope this helps.
