Question type: Car Customization

I recently bought a totaled car that was rolled over. It is a 318i with a s50 me engine swap. he rolled it but he told me that there is a censor that will shut off the engine if it ever did roll over. I was just wondering if it could be possible and im putting it in my 1992 bmw 525i, manuel. with a limited slip differentila, will I need to change any of that and where should i reinforce?

Thanks
Sam

Forget this group for this particular issue and head over to Bimmerforums.com for some more insightfully answers, after you chat with your mechanic. You could be looking at moving motor mounts.

there is a fuel shut off switch in most vehicles,it is usually located in the trunk. It is not a sensor and can be reset, if you are going from an automatic to a standard there might be a coupler that will need to be transferred from the standard motor into the automatic one.

you won't need a coupler, for the transmission swap you just need to change the flywheel and install the clutch. this car doesnt need to reset the fuel cut off in any way maybe you need to reset the codes from the ecu that's it
