tire size

...will be noted on your door jamb~ to not stray from this pre-determined size...number one the car will not handle as it was engineered for, number two the insurance company would sure like to know if the tires that were equipped were not correct for the vehicle, number three the VSS, or vehicle speed sensor will not read the correct speed anymore~
the original equipment size is listed in the door jamb. your owners manual will also have a listing of optional sizes offered as original equipment. if you change the overall diameter of the tire, the speed sensor will read inaccurately. your insurance company probably doesn't care what tires you have, as long as they don't have a lower speed rating than factory.
Very very helpful information. Thank you so MUCH!
