The gas lid on my 1999 BMW 540i it's locked regardless doors are unlocked, what can I do?

If you have a inside the car release, try this. It will take 2 people. Have one person lift the inside handle and the other person pry (gently) on the gas door. Use a soft plastic kitchen utensil. Do that on till you get the spring in the gas door fixed.
