do the body parts of the e39 change much from 97-03 ?

Nope, same model cars body parts will interchange.

The body panels themselves stay the same from 1997-2003. The trim along the doors, fenders, and bumpers changes from black plastic (and some with chrome) to painted body color (again, some with chrome) in 2001.

I have to change my cluster instrument, e39 540i part # 62119134778 , some guy is selling an other one # 62116906126. Can it fit without issue in my car?
