Cigarette Lighter/Ashtray

I just got this 05 SRX recently. The ashtray seems to be in a "locked" down position. In
other words, I can't move it, at least not without the fear of breaking it. Thoughts on how to
dislodge it?

not sure about the 05 version, but in later model SRX's you need to push the front of the ashtray UP and then the spring inside it will open Downward. Seems like a dumb design but I guess it made sense to someone.
