Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello I recently bought a 2002 rwd BMW 525i
manual 2.5 6cylinder and I’m wondering what
specific fluids to put in the diff, trans, cooling,
and engine? Looking for brands and websites
to go to, thank you to anyone that responds.

Check your owner's manual for fluid specifications. For oil, anything that is BMW LL-01 rated is acceptable, I use Mobil 1 or Castrol Edge 0w40 (neither are LL-01 anymore, but that just because they didn't want to renew the certification because it's outdated). As for coolant, BMW blue coolant is the best, although you can use Zerex G-05 if you want to save a little money. However, I recommend BMW coolant. For the differential, I believe 75w90 is the correct weight, however you'll want to check your owner's manual.
