My bmw egnition key wont Open my trunk , the car
battery is dead so I can't unlock or pop the trunk. I
tried the hole in the back seat but the hole is
blocked to get to the pull cord. Is there a way to
open my trunk without power? Or do I have to call a
locksmith?

you will need to pop the hood open and jump the car at the jump points, that is how you get the power to the trunk as well as the rest of the car
My battery is located in the trunk, where are the "jump points" located at under the hood if the battery is in the back? (Sorry if I misunderstood you)
Under the hood you should find a bolt covered with a black cap with a + on it, it is right in the middle of the intake ports of the manifold - that is the positive side, any other ground point will work for Neg
Thank you guys for all the great info, I will be troubleshooting today. I appreciate the assistance

I just now did the same thing & I don’t have a pass through in my back seat - Ugggh. I saw a post that said he used a battery from his drill & hooked some negative & positive wires & hooked up wires to his cigarette lighter. I think i’m gonna give that a try.

I got my trunk open - yay! I immediately put a rag in the trunk latch!! It didn’t work to go through the cigarette lighter so ended up accessing wiring under my glove box. Mine is M series so don’t know if this will work on yours as the wiring is probably different. Found it on bimmerpost.com Good luck.
I have a BMW535xi I lock my keys in my trunk. I have no tools with me. I’m waiting in the supermarket parking lot
I have a 2010 535i but I think the case is the same with most of the bmw key fobs. Mine has a button on the back that pops out a tradition metal key that opens the trunk and the glovebox. I had a whole fiasco where I thought I locked my key in my car. We used a jimmy to get it open but it wasn’t inside. The jimmy caused the alarm to go off so we unhooked the battery to stop the alarm until we could find my key. After finding the key, we closed the trunk not realizing that we couldn’t pop it back open to reconnect the battery. Luckily, I randomly decided to read the manual for the first time ever when I first bought the car since this was my first luxury vehicle and I wanted to know everything it could do to show off to friends and fam. Haha. I recalled the trick with the hidden metal key. Saved my butt for sure! I have no idea what a locksmith would have charged me on an urgent night call to get into a trunk... or if they even would.
