new model electrical problems with the 2004 525i?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Consumer reports panned the 2004 model regarding the electrical power options and even a jab at the motor. It seems the were discribing first year model blues. I can't affortd the 2005 and the wife hates the older body style!! Any feedback on extraordinary maintanence issues?

I would check www.carsurvey.org, for some real-life owner reports on their cars. I would shy away from the BMW's in general, parts are expensive.
