is buying a BMW with over 100,000 miles bad?

also depends on the price and availability of a shop in your town that is familiar with BMW and you might want to look up and compare prices for basic parts that you'll need eventually (rad,ball joints,alt,starter etc) just so that you are aware that most things will cost more to fix than say a Ford,GM,

this model and year is very good. will last a very long time. As long as battery is new and always 100 As long as comp never lost power , you can access all service records on your i screen without a snap on scanner. i was nervous at first with all the new electronics, but i rather my car tell me or shut off to prevent further damage to engine or other components of the car. I rather get towed if it ever happened , I've been in situations (in a nissan) where i payed a lot of money for head gaskets, and radiator. when i could had pulled over when my water pump stopped working. My battery level was telling me my alt. is gone, which it wasn't but the belt coming off caused that. i kept driving to next exit, my belt came off ,started overheating and blew the gaskets. The radiator cracked . The belt is on the water pump too so the cause was water pump or belt. If i pulled over i wouldn't have to pay out my ass

if your belt is partially off, and making crazy noise, DO NOT put your face or head or hands next to it, I once opened the hood on my chevy because belt was making a banging/slaping noise and soon as i opened hood to see , it ripped and almost hit me in the face. ALWAYS TURN OFF CAR WHEN INSPECTING A SUDDEN NOISE AFTER PULLING OVER.
