How to open the trunk with a dead battery on a 2005 STS?

I'm not sure if you've gotten this question answered or not. If you open the door that goes into the trunk from the back seat there is a release just above the opening. Hard to explain but I hope it helps.

Use the trunk button on the rear edge of the driver's door storage compartment.

You can't get into the trunk if you have a dead battery because most likely you can't get into the car at all unless you use the key inside you fob to open the driver door, if that's the case then open driver door and reach back and open passenger door then pull down the middle seat then use your key to get into the trunk. I have a 2008 Cadillac STS and I have a dead battery now and my key is gorilla glued into my fob lol wish me luck
