Is this car a good buy?

Asked by jessiamarie Feb 26, 2017 at 02:43 AM about the 2002 BMW 7 Series 745Li RWD

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

I'm selling my 2002 bmw 745li 4.4l v8. I'm asking for $4,300 or better offer.
Exterior is in good condition and interior is in good condition as well no rips or
tears. Just put on new spark plugs but will need new ignition coils. ($178
online) tires are still great put them on about an year ago. Car does have air
bag light on and parking brake light on. Occasionally the abs light goes on due
to abs module soldering points breaking but this is an inexpensive fix ($95 on
ebay this is to get it fixed!) Car has a custom dual 12" subwoofer box made
(subwoofers are included they are alpine type r) also has custom kick panels
holding 6.5" speakers car has a custom exhaust as well and sound beefy. Car
runs strong. It has 145xxx miles. passed smog on Jan. 30, 2017 and is good
for up to 90 days.

Its going to be a money pit and it is priced $2000-2500 too much. Now there are plenty of Toyota Camry's around for cheaper and they can handle 300k miles or more before they need the work of the European cars and less money for parts/Labour ect when they do.

If your buying parts on ebay it's clear that you really can't to afford a car like a BMW..

She selling it and has not yet figured out where to do that. I would not touch this car with a 20 foot pole. It will be a money eater. Do as "Tom" posted and use the link at the top of the page to sell it. Good luck with the sale.
