My 2004 CTS (basic v-6) died

Asked by jollyjoe Jun 22, 2014 at 02:37 PM about the 2004 Cadillac CTS RWD

Question type: General

It died after leaving the interstate. Sounded like a dead battery.  So I jumped it and smoke came out from the left side of the motor

I had an issue with a coil pack that did the same thing to me, but mine would start back up and then start smoking badly. I replaced the coil pack and plug and then later all the coil packs and plugs and it drove fine. Once you replace one, they will all in a row start going.

Put it on a computer and see what error message it sends
