If there is a lot of smoke when you start the car then your valve seal need to be replace not an easy job but not that hard either. If it smokes all the time then you have a bad pcv valve somewhere. It can also smoke alot if your engine is nearing the end of its life. The blue smoke is oil burning, that is why you are loosing oil. BMW parts are expensive and so is the labor. Its best to do the valves on your own.
