Transmition Fault

i had a transmition fault in the screen and its says
car can be drive only on 3rd and 5th gears.
i stopped 10 minutes then i drive its back to normal
after a while same fault back.
i checked with the dealer no earror only parking
release fault.
the dealear suggest to change the gear brain?!
is it the solution ?!

It could be, if you are findi g no other faults or codes with the car, then it would make me believe that is the issue

from the pic looks like 2002-2005 7 series. those are well known for transmission issues.
