Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it possible that the coolant level is too low to allow heated coolant into the
heater pump, while there is nothing wrong with the level sensor on the recovery
tank?

Check the radiator cap on the degas bottle, make sure it doesn't have any cracks. I believe it is recommended to replace them every few years anyhow. Also check the hose connecting to the radiator, if it's cracked or brittle, coolant can't get sucked into radiator.
