Changed alternator on my 2011 Ford Escape and have battery light on. It
goes on then off again then back on again. Have any ideas why?

Before Changing alternator battery light did the same on and off. But when battery light came on the power steering would be hard. After changing alternator battery light still on and off and steering is working fine.
