Battery light, SVC traction, SVC ESC, and SVC power steering

I went to take my kids to school this morning and the
battery light came on but the car was still driving fine. On
my way back home I was about a mile from my house and
the traction, ESC, and power steering lights came on too.
Next thing I know the steering wheel starts to lock up and
the radio started cutting in and out then I'm trying to go up
the hill to my house and all the lights on the dash and on
the shifter and the radio died but the car was still on and
running but not at normal power. I literally didn't think I was
gonna make it to my house. Why did my car do that?

The battery light indicates a charging system problem (possibly a bad alternator). The additional lights would come on as the battery is drained. My guess is that the car will not start now and the headlights are dim. Sounds like you need to get the charging system checked.
