2011 legacy remote start

Asked by Jayfromillinois Sep 22, 2015 at 08:36 PM about the 2011 Subaru Legacy 3.6R Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a new oem remote starter for my 2011 legacy. I installed it myself
and then took it to the dealer to be registered (remote fob and keys). Tech
came back and said he could not program the remote start using his
equipment. He stated it was wired incorrectly, has a loose connection, or has
a bad module. He was only able to program the remote start fob to where the
legacy honks its horn andthe needles in the dash move around. I rechecked
all connections and found nothing wrong. What else can I do?
