2011 Outback 2.5l CVT oil change

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So...I just recently bought a 2011 Outback that has 284,500 ish miles on it. It was a one owner car that was maintained well. Problem is I cannot find any service info for the fluid change. At this point it has just started to almost stall when I come to a fast stop. My question is this:

Should I even bother with changing the CVT fluid now? If I do will that fix my problem or is this a sign of a nasty repair to come?

I take it you know about the CVT stalling issue. I suppose you could try to live with it or fix it. Your choice.
