my service engine soon light came on. I hooked it up and the code was p0308, # 8 spark plug was fouling. My mpg in town and highway were 10 & 16. I replaced the plugs and my mpg went to 17 & 21. I took the battery cables off & my service engine light still will not go off. How do you get the light to stay off. My car seems to run fine now.

Turn on ignition, engine NOT running. Hold down the "info up" arrow and the "on-off" button until all dash lights come on bright. All will go blank for a few seconds and then text will appear in the DIC (Driver Information Center). Use "info up button to select all codes and then press "on-off" button to start code retrieve from 20 systems. Write down all codes, most will be "history". When the list ends it will ask "All codes clear" press on-off button to accept. Here is the list of the 20 reports: ABS, AMP, DDM, DDS, DIM, IPC, IPM, IRC, LRD, MSM, PCM, PDM, RCC, RFA, RIM, RRD, RSS, SDM, TTM, VTD.
