Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I have 2002 cadillac deville I know my VSS needs to be replaced,  the other
day I was driving and the cluster was going off and on and it was saying service
security system then yesterday I went to start it to move it and it wouldn't start
so I tried to jump it it wouldn't take the jump so I disconnected the battery really
connected it still didn't start and the security system didn't engage so I read all
the comments last night and today I went out to check the ground on the left
side in front of the fuse box assuming it was the correct wire about 5-8 inches
long it was fine when I opened the  car I did the key thing as well I put the jump
box one and it started I let it run for a while the security light was on traction
control light and service engine soon lights all on the battery while running said
14 volts the tach at idle was jumping all over the place I shut it ioff after 20
minutes and tried to restart with the jump box on and off and I get nothing I just
got it is don't know much about it and don't have a good history any
suggestions
