I am looking to purchase a vehicle but the one I've found is about 1500miles from my location. The Dealer can ship it to me but the problem is I'm not there to see and do a test drive. A local car outlet similar to CARMAX can ship it to their location but I'm wonder how much they will add on to the price. Is it better for me to work directly with the dealer or go through the local outlet?

One reason not to buy so far away is warranty. If you have an issue with the car and they are willing to fix it are you willing to drive 3000 miles to have them do it? If you search shipping cars you will find a trip like that will cost you minimum of $750 from a transport company.

Buying a vehicle without driving or seeing it for yourself is asking for trouble. Even if you are set on a certain model driving it can change your opinion real fast.

There is no reason to even be looking at a car 1500 miles away. Especially a 1 (close to 2) year old CTS-V. They are great rides, but if your local or closest Cadillac dealer isn't able to find what you want/need and ship it to his dealership, wait. As hot as they are and I really, really like mine they ... ARE just cars.
