Should I repair my car before sales?

Asked by Guru927RM9 Sep 28, 2022 at 09:44 PM about the 2011 Buick Enclave CXL2 FWD

Question type: Car Selling & Trading In

I am waiting for the arrival of my new car and yesterday suddenly had a leak
from my current car.   I saw a repairman who diagnosed a need for a new
rack and pinion and motor mounts.   He said I needed it immediately.   He
knew I was selling.   Repair will be $2500 and I'm getting $3000 less for my
car than I expected.   The buyer is Car Max who is unaware now of this
problem.   Of course you know of the supply problems on new cars, so my
new car may not arrive in a week.

I'll bet it's a hydraulic line that's leaking and not the unit .
