I have a 2011 Equinox. The a/c comes on automatically if I don't shut the blower fan off before starting the car. Dealership said they couldn't find anything wrong and this was normal if the vehicle hadn't been used much over the winter. WTF ... NORMAL? It started doing this in the dead of winter. This happen to anyone else? I may have to change dealerships if this is what they call normal. They did change a relay because my engine light came on....then went off after sitting for an hour. Part # 19116057. However the b.s. with the A/C is still happening. HELP !!!!

my recycling indicator button is on and will not turn off.....even the service tech pushed it and it never went off. Then he asked if I had ever changed the settings? How I could do that, is beyond me.
How do you fix this problem? Easy fix? When I start my 2011 equinox LTZ the a/c is always on unless I turn it off completely.
Why dose it show timer on my speed
Thank you tennisshoes! My car is doing the exact same thing as shortystory. Mine started about a year and a half ago when I went to Utah during Christmas. It got so cold one night and my car has not been the same. I first notice the temperature reading on the center dash (where the screen is for music and time) was not reading correctly and then not at all. Later I ended up with my battery dying and needing to be replace and it was not even a year old. I luckily was able to find a person with cables to jump me and them had a warranty on the battery still. It was when I got home to AZ when I realize whenever my car gets wet the AC stops working and only room temperature air is dispensed. So, you are saying that this is a temp sensor problem. Do you know how I can fix this myself? I would prefer to try myself if it is not too complicated. Is there a specific part that needs to be replace?
