steering wheel vibration

Asked by Jim Mar 15, 2017 at 02:25 PM about the 2011 Mercury Milan V6 Premier AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Vibration in the steering wheel that begins at 48 to 50 mph and stops around
55 to 58 mph. It's more pronounced when the car is cold, but I can still feel it
when it's warmed up. Wheels have been balanced and rotated and new tires
put on - no changes, still vibrates. I've even shut the car off and coasted
along, but still vibrates at those speeds.  It's been to the shop a few times in
the past two years, but no one found the problem.
