high voltage warning

It's possible for the voltage to run that high for several minutes to recharge your battery after a jump start but I would watch for it to drop back to 14.5 volts maximum, engine idling. If it doesn't come down, the alternator may have been damaged. Also check battery voltage with engine off. It should be about 12.5 volts. If it's much lower, then the battery is still trying to recover or may have damaged by the jump start. I don't like to offer a jump start unless it's urgent.
