Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When driving my car will start chugging/missing like it's
going to run out of gas and will also stall with no warning.
After that happens the wrench light will come on. Has
anyone else had this issue and if so what was the problem?

Yes, others have had this issue. The wrench light, means there is an issue with the electronic throttle actuation. The computer controls the acceleration and transmission shifting based on the throttle position. The fixes have been a new throttle body, throttle body position sensor, and or pedal assembly. Have a shop verify what part needs to be replaced as all don't need to be. You can have the car scanned for the trouble codes to see if there are any also causing an issue. But if you want to fix yourself without any diagnostic equipment, you can try replacing the throttle position sensor or TPS first as they are not that expensive.
