Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,  we have replaced the Water pump and the thermostat.  Still over heating.
Not sure what else we should do or look for as a problem.

New thermostat was a good start , unless it was a $6** P.O.S. from auto zoo , If it gets hot right away then it may be a bad head gasket , Are the fans coming on when it gets hot ?? That would be first thing to check . a compression test should be done . Radiator could be clogged up try a flow test before replacing .

temperature sensor, MAYBE. Just my opinion, I would have not changed my water pump without knowing it was leaking ( they do leak when the interior seal gets old/ worn). That's quite a bit of hardware AND coolant / labor without even replacing thermostat first or even the temperature control sensor. good luck
