Cadillac ECM replacement

I have a 2000 cadillac deville that I believe needs a new ECM module. I have
read that when you do this, there is progamming needed. Can someone tell me
what needs to be programmed, and how difficult this is? The ECM is not
reading signal from the crankshaft position sensor, and I need to replace it.

You should have a good technician look at this car and take care of it

Deville’s have a wiring issue with crankshaft position sensor when they get older, so make sure you have that issue taken care of before condemning the computer. I know cause I had one the same year as yours. Was on its second engine and transmission when it got wrecked.
