Firs, remove any leads on the positive battery terminal. Then un-tension the serpentine belt and clear it off the alternator pulley. Next remove any electrical leads attached to the alternator. Now begin unbolting the alternator from its support frame (you may need to loosen other accessory bolts as well to accomplish this). Now that it is out, reverse this process making sure the serpentine belt is properly routed and tensioned. Hope this helps you.
