No crank

I have a 2000 Eldorado.  I have the problem that
when I shut the car off and go inside for the night
and I come out the next day I unlock it and all the
functions are normal but when I stick the key in to
start it there's no crank no anything but all the
normal functions are there lights radios alarm
dashboard Etc. Everything I've read is leading to a
bad ground or possibly a bad starter. Has anyone
else had this problem before I yank the intake off
and dive into a starter
