Bypass security feature on 99'Cadillac deville

You have the VATS security system. What's going on with it? A no crank/no start condition is going to be the ignition lock cylinder. If you replace the lock cylinder you need to get the correct VATS ignition key. There were 15 possibilities, see the chart below. The new lock will come with a template for cutting the new VATS key blanks. To determine which key you have measure the resistance value of the chip on the old key. The template will not start the engine. Neither will the wrong VATS key. There is also no relearn procedure or reset procedures for this system! Hope that helps! Jim
