Overheating 1999 Cadillac DeVille Delegance
I bought the Cadillac drove it across
the road and it wouldn't crank then they
put in a new alternator, drove it home
and it started spuing water from the
front passenger side tire (around the
area of the coolant reservoir) took it
back they put in a new radiator after
driving it 10-15 min it says a
temperature of 244 and the coolant
reservoir is bone dry. Also states the oil
life is 0% but it is obvious, due to oil on
dip stick, it has oil, black to the color
but seems not as thick. After 2-4 hours
of rest the car will crank and read
temperature 195. Been told it's the fan
relays or it's the water pump, or (from
my research) coolant reservoir ($10
aftermarket $50 factory), hoses could
be clogged, head could be cracked ,
(new put together motor, that isn't
Northstar but fits the year and model
$1000-1200......and up. I'm just lost
