Battery dies all time and cuts off

The battery is not being charged by the alternator. Charge the battery. Start the vehicle. Using a multi-meter, check the voltage at the two battery terminals. It should be 14+ volts.

I'm running in to the same issue. New battery and new alternator. Parts guy said that it may be the Body Control Module (the computer). My original thoughts were that since I bought it used, someone may have hooked the positive and the negative batt terminals up backwards during a jump, but this seems to be a pretty common issue, so probably not.
