Truck stalls and is under powered

Asked by Zacbatt Aug 22, 2018 at 04:07 PM about the 2008 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT Quad Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought this truck 3-4 years ago and when I bought
it would randomly just die about once a month. This
has gone on over the last few years until the last 6-8
months it started dying more often to the point of
just about every trip, with this being said it always
starts right back up no hesitation.

Now the truck also seems very sluggish and under
powered. For instance taking off sometimes it does
just normal say 0-60 in 12seconds but sometimes it
could be like 0-60 in 20seconds.

Do any of y’all have any clues about this?

This is a 2008 Dodge Ram 4.7l

Try replacing the rubber gas lines coming from the steel gas line from the frame of vehicle to the fuel pump assembly maybe doing what a f 150 I had a while back rubber gas line was collapsing cutting off gas flow then would return to normal size when vehicle was shut off.
