Replaced Battery won't start

Friend has a 1998 Cadillac Cartera be sitting for 18 Months. Battery was bad replaced but it won't start . Cranks over find . The security light is on when the door is open. Does I have security system shut down the fuel pump when on? And how do I reset it?

Did you drain all the old gas out and replace it with good gas? If not that's probably your problem. Condensation builds in the bottom of the tank and will cause serious cranking issues if not replaced with good gas after one has set for such a long time.
