How can i move my 1998 cadillac suville STS when the batt needs to be replaced?

I need to move my 1998 Cadillac STS, but my battery is dead, plus misc. issues with the car.  I just need to move it before I receive a fine.  I can place the car in neutral but the car still acts like it is in gear.  how can I move the car with out power getting to the vehicle?

Remove driveshafts or axles. Sometimes you can manually put them in neutral at the shift arm on the side of the trans. Tow truck drivers usually know how to do this.
