What is causing my brakes to suddenly lose pressure when I hit a bump or hole.

Asked by Guru98JLSL Jun 03, 2022 at 06:06 PM about the 2011 Cadillac SRX Luxury FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why are the brakes on my 2011 SRX Cadillac losing pressure. It doesn't
happen all the time but is very dangerous when it does. I have been on the
expressway at 70 to 80 miles an hour or on city streets. I have also suddenly
slammed on the brakes hard and lost pressure. What is the cure?

Start the car , put it in park , get a brake peddle and apply very light pressure to the peddle , if it slowly sinks to the floor then replace the master cylinder .
