Why would my car stall ?

While deiving no matter what speed I loose all RPM and then my battery light
comes on and my car dies what would cause this? Please help me.

Ed is inaccurate once again, the battery light can come on bc rpm drops below a certain limit and the alternator is no longer charging.. the car doesnt switch to alternator power when it starts lmao who is teaching this person? A faulty crankshaft sensor can cause the car the stall but it typically wont start for a period of time afterwards... a failing fuel pump will do the same
